Workplace Discrimination

You do have rights in the workplace.

Workplace discrimination is illegal when it is based on factors such as race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, age, sex (including pregnancy and sexual harassment), marital status, domestic partnership or civil union status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information, military service status, or mental or physical disabilities, including AIDS and HIV-related conditions. Both federal and state laws protect employees from discrimination, and in some cases, state laws provide even greater protections than federal laws.

At Sipio Law, we offer comprehensive support by:

1.) Determining whether your rights were violated,

2.) Evaluating the strength of your claim,

3.) Guiding you through any applicable agency processes, and

4.) Advising you on potential litigation options.

We have extensive experience litigating a wide range of discrimination claims, from mediations, trials and even through appeals. Often, we work with clients behind the scenes while they are still employed, helping to craft the best possible strategy for their situation.

If you believe you’ve been subjected to unlawful discrimination, please contact us for a confidential consultation
